GROUP CLASSES // All group classes are included with your monthly Powerhouse Gym membership. We offer a wide variety of innovative and challenging classes, and constantly monitor attendance and feedback so that we can successfully meet the demands of our members. Classes are on a first come, first serve basis.
Class Descriptions:
Yoga
Improve your balance and build overall strength and flexibility with yoga. Yoga combines a series of postures with relaxation techniques to achieve a stronger core and increased mental focus.
Sports Yoga
Sports Yoga is not just for athletes. It's for those looking to improve balance,
flexibility, and strength. The goal is to correct muscle imbalances and allow our bodies to work more
efficiently while we are running, biking, skiing, etc. In sports yoga we will practice various plank
positions and postures that improve leg and core strength along with hip flexibility. We will also break
from the "typical yoga" by adding in some strength work and core exercises. This is an all levels class
that allows for modifications or advanced postures depending on your ability.
Cardio Blast
collectively taught by PHG personal trainers, you'll benefit from the collaborative
knowledge and styles of our staffers, plus get a taste of the talents of each trainer...get your blood
pumping and burn calories fast! Techniques will include jump roping, medicine balls, weights and
more.
Cardio Hip Hop
A dance class designed to get your heart rate up while still having fun! Fun for all ability levels. Come shed those calories and learn some new moves for 50 minutes. This class is a great addition to your cardio routine.
Power Sculpt
Tone and sculpt your whole body with free weights in this intense, well choreographed 30 minute workout. You can tailor the class to suit your ability level and strength by choosing the appropriate dumbbell weight.
Abs and Flexibility
This course is designed to strengthen your abdominals and improve overall flexibility. Spending 30 minutes on your core has never been easier!
