STEVE ALLEN // Hi! I’m Steve, one of the amazing and talented trainers here at Powerhouse Gym Denver. I have been a personal trainer for nearly a decade, having trained in New York City in addition to owning my own training business, before joining the Powerhouse team. My method of training is a very functional approach that incorporates various styles of movements. Borrowing from numerous disciplines such as Yoga, Kickboxing, Track and Field, Pilates and Power-lifting, I am able to help my clients produce a body that is lean, quick, flexible and strong…not to mention, hot! I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise and Sports Science from Colorado State University ('96) and competed in track & field at the collegiate level. I love working with all populations; be you a retiree, an athlete (you're ALL athletes), a weekend warrior or if you've never seen the inside of a gym before, I am excited to help you reach your goals. SAM SLINEY // Hi I’m Sam, one of your hard working trainers here at Powerhouse Gym Denver. With a background in collegiate athletics and a certification through the NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association), I have learned how to push my clients to their fullest potential while making it fun every step of the way. My passion lies in sports and I am an avid snowboarder, mountain biker and runner. I am a big believer in the, “work hard, play hard” philosophy . . . so why not do both? I have trained people of every background and athletic history, from beginners to seasoned competitors. My favorite part about being a trainer is that I can guarantee the product! No matter your experience, if you give 100% dedication to the training, I can help you acquire the body and health that you not only want, but deserve! In addition to private and semi-private training, I also instruct our Women’s Workshop, teach the Abs & Flexibility and Power Sculpt classes, as well as instruct the Powerhouse Boot Camp. SARA PORAT // Hi, I’m Sara and I have been working at Powerhouse since before we opened! I graduated from NPTI (National Personal Training Institute) in 2008 where I developed my skills used to make our Powerhouse Boot Camps hard core, intense and fun! In addition to teaching Boot Camp, I am the Sports Nutritionist here at Powerhouse Gym Denver. After completing over 100 hours of diet and nutrition study through NPTI Colorado, I was officially certified in the field of my passion: Sports Nutrition. I am a huge advocate of pushing ourselves to be the best we can be, not only through physical activity, but also by eating right and nourishing our bodies. It is amazing how what we internalize can affect our performance, in and outside of the gym! I love cooking with the herbs and veggies from my garden; and it is through this love I have developed great recipes and simple ways to include the right foods into your diet. CAITLIN MURPHY // Hi! I'm Caitlin, Powerhouse's most recent addition to the personal training team! I have a comprehensive background in personal training as an athlete, and was also involved in an extensive internship at a highly regarded personal training studio in Colorado Springs. These things, along with my Personal Training Certification from ACE (American Council on Exercise), and my sincere love of physical activity, give me the utmost confidence in my ability to help you achieve your every fitness goal. My philosophy is simple: Our bodies are vessels for opportunity, and for that reason alone, they should not be neglected. I believe in functional training. This means that, not only will I help you reach you personal fitness goals, I will also help you to live your life with greater ease and comfort on a day to day basis. Regardless of what your ambitions are, as your personal trainer I will be there to stand by you every step of the way with nothing but support, encouragement, and the desire for you to win! TRIET HOANG // Hi! I’m Triet, one of the skilled and energetic trainers here at Powerhouse Gym Denver. Prior to joining Powerhouse, I was a performer and instructor of dance, which I have now carried over in to my passion for training and fitness. In addition, I have a background in martial arts, which combined with the discipline learned through my certification with the ACE (American Council on Exercise), it enables me to have a unique method of training. I incorporate these diverse styles of movements acquired from my passions and my love of all sports to get my clients on a direct path to reaching their goals. I love being a trainer and the strengths and challenges each person brings to the gym. No matter the extent of your fitness, if you are committed to taking it to another level, I will be there every step of the way. My motto on improving your lifestyle? “Just by trying you are halfway there.” I offer private and semi-private training, as well as teaching the Power Sculpt class here at Powerhouse, so check out our class schedule and come join me. LINDSAY BEAUDREAU // Hi, I'm Lindsay. I come to Powerhouse Gym with an extensive history in athletics- I was an NCAA collegiate swimmer and now nurture my competitive drive through triathlons, cycling, and hiking. Besides my personal background in sports and fitness, I hold my personal training certificate through NASM (National Association of Sports Medicine) and am also a certified spinning instructor. I practice an integrative training style- using flexibility, strength, and conditioning as tools to help you reach your fitness goals. Whether you’re a beginner, elite athlete, gym rat, or weekend warrior I can help you get to the next level in your training.
